A region south of Languedoc sharing a common language and culture, although politically divided into squabbling city-states. Florentian art and culture is superlative, and the envy even of snobbish Langeudoc nobles.
Florentians have a reputation for settling their political disputes via assassinations; perhaps Florentian assassins are not more skilled than assassins from other lands, but there are undisputedly more of them.
Florentians speak their own language. Notable Florentian cities include Alessandria, where much ancient art and architecture may be seen.
Florentians are for the most part devout and orthodox members of the Church Universal, however in several Florentian states, the Aragonese Church either is officially tolerated or is the official state church.
